What information do I need to provide to register my musical works?
At the time of registration you must have the following information at hand: Title of the work, the file containing the musical work and the personal data of the participants who have authored the project, such as full name, personal identification number, participation role and country of residence or origin.
What happens if someone infringes my copyright after I register my works?
As the rights holder, you have a legal basis to take legal action, such as demanding compensation or stopping the infringement. Depending on the platform where the infringement occurred, you can report this fact and directly request them to take action to stop the infringement. Remember that dispute resolution is easier to manage if you have proof of authorship.
What is the difference between a registration entity and a Collective Management Association?
A copyright registration entity is in charge of documenting and certifying the ownership of the copyright on a specific creative work.
