Celebrating entrepreneurship in Costa Rica

The Costa Rica Startup Awards 2022 aim to highlight and reward the most innovative and promising startups in the country. This event serves as a prelude to the Global Entrepreneurship Week, which will be held from November 14-20.

Costa Rica, with its human talent, lifestyle, access to key services, business security, influx of people from around the world and vision of environmental sustainability is positioned as an ideal place for the generation of startups.

A space to train and connect entrepreneurial talent

The event included a series of activities designed to train and connect Costa Rican entrepreneurs:

• Startup Talks: International experts gave trainings focused on the development of national competencies, providing knowledge and key tools for the success of the ventures.

• Cross Demo Day: An exhibition and networking space where entrepreneurs connected with investors, support organizations and investment funds, facilitating opportunities for growth and collaboration.

• Allies Exhibition: Incubators, accelerators and boosters showed their services and methodologies, contributing to the promotion of entrepreneurship in the country.

This edition of the Costa Rica Startup Awards marked a milestone by becoming an event of the dynamic entrepreneurship ecosystem at the national level, with the participation of the most important incubators, accelerators and boosters in the country, as well as the support of organizations such as BCIE, the European Union, the Development Banking System, Caricaco and Camtic.

Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards

The event culminated with the presentation of the nominated startups in the three pitch categories: Best business idea, Best startup and Best scale up of the year. This last category was aimed at startups that are already positioned in the market and are looking to expand even further.

The Costa Rica Startup Awards 2022 not only recognize innovation, but also the ability of entrepreneurs to scale up and consolidate in the market.
