This is because if the original file undergoes changes, the ID of the registered file also changes.
Enotar.io Copyright Registration Process
The registration process in Enotar.io is simple and efficient, designed to make it easy for creators to protect their works with clear and secure steps.
Below we explain step by step how to register:
- Choose a category.
Once inside the registration tool it is very important to define the artistic category to which your work belongs, you must select one of the options on the form.
- Choose a title for your work.
The text field corresponding to the title or name of your creation must be filled in.
- Select a file from your device
The file containing the work to be registered is selected from the device.
- Enter the participants and their roles.
Enter the information of the participants who have authorship of the work. Include the role or part played by each participant, and add their name, country of origin and national identification number. You can add as many participants as you wish.
- Review and submit.
When you have checked that everything is correct, click the “Submit” button to start the validation process.
The registration will start validating, you can check the status of your registrations by accessing the “My certificates” section on the main registration page.
This validation and registration process can take an average of 20 minutes. Depending on the traffic on the Blockchain, this process can be almost instantaneous or take longer than expected.
Once the registration process is complete, you can download the certificate or access it at any time from your enotar.io application.
Reliable proofs of authorship
enotar.io issues certificates that comply with the requirements established by all international conventions on intellectual property and copyright.
They contain all the information related to the work, such as title, participants, nationalities of the participants, identification numbers, as well as a detailed explanation of the application of the technology, a timestamp and the technical specifications of the registration on the Emercoin public blockchain.
Duration of the certificate
Copyright generally lasts for the life of the author plus an additional period that varies according to the legislation of each country, usually 50 or 70 years after the author’s death.
